Sarah HouldcroftWouldn’t you rather be writing than marketing and promoting your book?
You can if you work with a Virtual Assistant for Authors!

My name is Sarah Houldcroft and I am a Virtual Assistant working with authors and writers who are published, self-published or looking to publish in the near future.   I work with my clients to help them achieve their goals by freeing up their time so they can get on with what they do best and enjoy the most….writing.

Why work with me?

Like you, I have a great interest in books, and I also have the time and expertise to promote your book online, so you can just get on and write that next book.

What type of books can I work with?

Having an author of technical books in the family, I’m just as much at home with scientific / technical / engineering books as I am with a work of fiction.

How can I help you?

Promoting your book can be achieved in a number of ways.   Having a great looking blog/website, customised to reflect the look and feel of your book is an essential part of marketing online, as is being up to speed with Social Media. These are just two of the services I can offer you.

Need your manuscript converted to an ebook or printed book?  I can help you there too.

Look what my clients say:

Professional, empathetic and technically savvy, Sarah Houldcroft is the perfect creative partner. Efficient, friendly, insightful and very cost effective. She has made a huge difference to my career as an independent author, and is now a highly valued member of a very special team.

 Adrienne Vaughan

As an independent author, I have used a range of Sarah Houldcroft’s author services over the past year, including editing, file formatting and web-site organisation.
In all of these areas, I’ve found her to be professional, skilled, but also extremely patient and accessible. I have no hesitation in highly recommending her services.

June Kearns

As an indie author I have used Sarah Houldcroft’s services to enhance and advance my work. Ms Houldcroft has formatted my novels for kindle and paperback and has created mobi copies to send to reviewers. She has also successfully amended work which other, less professional author services, carried out for me. Ms Houldcroft schedules my tweets for me on a daily basis and has designed and printed promotional materials for me and the indie collaborative group I’m part of. She can meet deadlines and her work is reasonably priced considering the quality of the finished article.  I commend her services to you.

Lizzie Lamb

Thank you so much, Sarah.  It is such a joy working with you as you are full of ideas.

Celia Conrad

Thank you, Sarah, for building a website that reflects the individual approach I wanted to take to presenting my novels.  I’m delighted with ‘patriciayoungbooks.com’ and look forward to working with you again

Sarah Houldcroft is a gem. Our book is published on a 100% profits to children’s charities basis and Sarah Houldcroft’s VA for Authors has been a huge part of helping us raise almost £10,000 so far.

At the start we were total novices, with no understanding of the complexities of publishing and marketing. Before meeting Sarah we sometimes found that we had paid for services that didn’t properly match our book, and simply didn’t do the job.

Sarah Houldcroft has changed everything. Our website is now fabulous, fun and interactive, and Sarah does wonderful things with the basic material that we provide. When we need advice about publicity, social media, and future planning Sarah is always there – promptly, and full of helpful ideas and highly professional solutions.  It is a joy to work with Sarah and we are delighted to be able to recommend VA for Authors to our fellow authors and illustrators.
