I always love staying down in London for the Book Fair and this year was no exception. If you haven’t visited before then you really should put it into your calendar for next year – 16 to 18 March 2017
The sheer size of the Fair is quite a shock if it is your first visit and finding your way around is almost impossible without a map. It is a wonderful experience for new or established authors with chances to get up close and personal with your publisher or find a new one. You can listen to one of the many lectures on a huge range of topics which take place over the three days.
However, I would suggest that if you are going to visit that you plan your day carefully in advance as it makes it so much easier when you are actually there. The LBF website gives lists of exhibitors and times/locations for the lectures. I made a list of everyone I wanted to see and the lectures I wanted to attend and saved a lot of time which meant I was able to meet up with people I knew as well as make new contacts.
Here is a short video of the day…
